Leaving La Paz & Heading Up: January 15th - 18th, 2025

Well, we spent a fun-filled & productive month in La Paz. Now it was time to move on for other scenery. We had a storm on the way so we didn’t have the luxury of hanging out at any anchorages for more than a night before getting into the safety of the Puerto Escondido Marina.

The last evening in La Paz.

Day 1 - La Paz to Caleta Partida. Not a terribly long day but a cold day. And we only got to sail for about an hour. But better 1 hour than no sail at all. It would be our last day of sun for a while!

On our way from La Paz to Caleta Partida.

Day 2 - Caleta Partida to San Evaristo. Yes! We finally have fresh fish again! Enough to last us for quite a few dinners!

Whoo Hoo! Catching a Dorado on the way to San Evaristo!

Day 3 - Sail from San Evaristo to San Marte. It was a very long day. I think about 40 miles. But we did get to sail for quite a few hours! Unfortunately, the beautiful sunrise was all that we saw of the sun until very late in the afternoon.

Breathtaking sunrise in San Evaristo!

Purple sunrise & then sail to San Marte!

Day 4 - we make our way up to Puerto Escondido from San Marte. Sunny but cold & windy. -Just in time to escape the gnarly winds on their way the next day.

San Marte

Another beautiful sunrise!

Our video this week shows of our experiences between La Paz & Puerto Escondido. We apologize for the lack of sunshine footage!

There you have it! -A quick & cold 4 day voyage up to Puerto Escondido. Not exactly ideal but much better than many alternatives!

Daddy, I’m here to help you get a fish!

Thanks for watching & reading! Next week we’re back at Puerto Escondido but with a few outside excursions from there too!
