Tres Meses!

Hope everyone had a fun 4th! Not sure how ours turned out yet. I’ll let you know in the next episode.

Yep, we have less than 3 months until blast off! We have been going non-stop trying to get everything done. The lists of stuff to do keep growing. -That’s just life though. Regardless of what you’re doing or trying to accomplish, there’s always the next step. Personally, I’d rather be busy than bored. So, pretty happy, even if I do have a freak out moment here & there.

Right now I’m sitting on the boat, trying to think of creative ways to store everything. It’s hard to not want a larger boat, just for that reason alone. It feels really cluttered with half of our stuff out. Just not a lot of places to put stuff. Although, we were stoked to take another look underneath the bed in the v-berth & we were able to put many more gallons of water there alongside the water tank.

***Just because the WiFi on the boat has been touch & go all day, I will just say that if this blog doesn’t make sense or seems to stop suddenly, it’s because the access to the internet stopped. Hoping that I finish soon. -Before it gets to that point.

Matt has been great. He’s taking care of a lot of things with our house. Painting, clearing stuff out, caulking, landscaping & organizing the garage/our storage area for while we’re gone,

Where the boat is concerned, Matt has become an electrician lately. The latest project he accomplished is fixing up the instrument panel in the cockpit. He shortened some wires. Cleaned up a few other connections. Oiled the diesel shut-off knob. Re-affixed the dashboard more securley & added a plexiglass cover!

And it even ends up looking way better than before!

I got another section of the boat teak cleaned & oiled. All I have left to do is the middle section of the cabin. I will be happy when I can move on from that. There are worse things to do but it’s more time consuming than I would like it to be. Which I think might be the definition of work. 😄

Goals for this week are getting the panels all made. Then hopefully put them up next week. Getting spare ignition keys made. I think we have at least one. But that doesn’t give me the assurance I need. And then maybe organizing all of my crap on the boat.

New Video Out! We anchored out again. Got more projects done & Zephyr may be the culprit in a certain problem. Can you guess what that is? Click on the pic below to check it out.

The reality is that we won’t know what will or won’t work in terms of what we have on the boat until we go. We’ve been out a month already, so we have some sense of what it will take. But it’s definitely going to be different going through different climates. Plus, being away for 6 months! I know we will have to adjust to using less electricity & less internet. -Which I think will be fine. It’ll make our time online much more efficient. Less distractions.

Beddy Bye time.
