4 Months!

Christmas Day!

Can you believe it?! We’ve been at this for 4 months now! And I think that the weirdest thing is, is that it doesn’t feel weird or strange. I feel at home.

We have fallen in love with this life! I know I’ve always had nomadic blood in me. And now I can finally do something that feels really true to my heart. I love being out in nature in different anchorages & also experiencing different towns & cities we’ve come across. I definitely need both. It’s so cool to be able to bring our home with us wherever we travel to. Mexico is such an amazing country! No two places we’ve been to have seemed the same. And the locals & cruisers we have met along the way have been wonderful!

Matt has definitely embraced it too! We both never knew he had such an extroverted side to him. I think his outlook on life has definitely been uplifted by this experience. Although, he’s had the right mindset in the first place to allow him to encounter all the goodness he’s come across in the last 4 months.

As for Zephyr? He’s still Zephyr. He’s having fun meeting new doggies, barking at new birds & smelling all the smells of every new place we sail to.

Are there inconveniences? Are there downsides? Yes, but they’re worth it. I can get into what some of those things are later. But right now we’re just happy to experience the joy & happy to get through the harder times.

Hooray! It’s a video week!

This week’s video contains the even less glamorous life than the last one did. Yeah, we’re still waiting for the tropical beaches & swimming around in warm water too. I still have faith that we’ll get there. Just not yet. But hopefully soon, right?….. Watch below & laugh at our not so comfortable stay in the anchorage of Punta Abreojos.

So, yes, we are still stoked that we chose to do this sailing life. It’s definitely living - the good, the bad, the in-between. We’ll take it all for now. -While our bones are still in tact. It’s not easy but it’s worth it. I hope everyone can find that thing in their life in which the hard times are worth the joy it brings them.

If I look sad enough maybe they’ll give me some of their food.

Thanks for reading! And for watching our videos! We appreciate the love & support more than we can express. No video next week but our blog will give you a look at our time in San Jose Del Cabo. Until then, treat yourself to something fun!
