7.5 Months To Go!

You guys are totally exhausting me with all of your work!

Finally! It feels like we are starting to make progress on our 1 million goals that we have to get accomplished before we leave in the autumn! We made it to the boat twice. -Well, Matt went twice. I had to work on Sunday. So I sent him to MerSea without me. And begged him to take some photos. I was not only impressed that he took the time to take some photos but also some video! Thanks Babe!

Speaking of videos, I finally put together a montage of GoPro footage from our Voyage last October! I’m learning little by little how to do this. Hopefully it will get faster for me to do. I put that video on our videos page.

So what did we get done in this last week? I finally finished getting the netting off of the lifelines. Yes, I will be putting it back up in September. It’s nice though to get on & off & around the boat without it until then.

Matt got all the rainwater out of the crevices of the dinghy & then pressure-washed the bottom. She almost looks brand new!

Zephyr reclaimed all of his birdwatching spots on MerSea.

We also organized some stuff inside & I took a bunch home to re-assess what is needed on the boat.

Matt changed out the oil. It’s much more of a pain than you would think. See the video below.

Probably the biggest project though, is cleaning a ton out our closets & drawers & rooms at home. Unfortunately, we aren’t feeling the, “good to clear out & get rid of a bunch of stuff”, sensation because half of it is in the living & dining rooms right now. We did make a big dent. It feels like we just may finish by September.

So because there’s been a lot more doing in the last 7 days & there are a few videos, this is going to be a shorter post. But we have some evidence of the progress!
