On The Boat Again
Yep, we are out of the house & on the boat! And no, everything isn’t ready but we are getting both our boat & house prepared for this epic event.
Our bedroom & office are free of our stuff & only contain the furniture that will be used by the residents we recently found to rent it out! They are awesome & we feel that they will be good neighbors to our neighbors; that we love.
Projects are getting done. We have a full enclosure now for the cockpit! We’ll test it out in the next night or so to see just what a difference it makes.
I’m also figuring out what can’t come with us. For example, I have white holiday lights to put along the sides of the boat for Christmas & New Year’s but they just take up too much valuable space. Do we really need 6 bowls & 6 plates? A beanie in every color isn’t necessary on a 30 foot boat. Even Zephyr is trying to shed some fur to save space.
What has Matt been up to? He’s been insanely busy as usual. Between his job & getting projects done at our house, he hasn’t had much time to get to the boat. But when he is able to do so, he’s been organizing & taking a look at what actually needs to be done before we leave & what can be done along the way.
Is the end of the world near or is Matt sanding concrete? Actually, probably both.
Crazily enough, I managed to get a video out this week. The bummer is that Matt was too busy working his worky-work to be involved. I’ll get him next time though!
I know, this is another quickie blog. We’re still being pulled in a lot of directions. When we are only inundated with mostly boat stuff, then I’ll be back with a novel!
Oh, before I sign off, I just want to thank my soul-sister - Melanie, for getting her svMerSea sweatshirt! These are a limited edition, (but they come in different colors), for our 1st long-term voyage. So get one while they are still available. -And be cool, just like Melanie!
Thanks for reading! Come back next week when we will no longer have access inside our house & MerSea will be our one & only residency!
